What is EBOO?
Oxygenate and ozonate your blood in a controlled extracorporeal (outside-the-body) circulation process.
Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation (EBOO) is a revolutionary procedure that has changed how people take care of their health. EBOO, or ozone (O3) therapy, is a popular method of disease prevention and treatment throughout Europe. EBOO is a form of ozone IV therapy that utilizes a dialysis filter to oxygenate and ozonate blood at a level that has not otherwise been able to be achieved before.
Blood is circulated through a closed-loop system and passes through a filtration cartridge while being exposed to carefully measured oxygen/ozone. EBOO is not the same as kidney dialysis and it’s not presented as a replacement for medical detoxification procedures. We focus on supportive wellness goals and individualized protocols.
The EBOO enhances cellular oxygen use, cellular healing, and blood flow. According to clinical studies, Some studies suggest ozone-based therapies may influence oxidative signaling and immune modulation pathways. Results vary by condition, dosing, and route of administration, and outcomes are individualized. Additionally, it enhances oxygen uptake by cells, reducing ischemia in cardiovascular disorders. It can also produce growth factors to aid in the regeneration of worn-out discs and damaged joints.
What is Ozone (O3)?
Ozone, or O3, is a naturally occurring, energy-rich molecule. This unique molecule has diverse physicochemical and biological properties, suggesting it plays a possible role in the therapy of treating diseases, viruses, and common ailments alongside standard treatment regimens.
Ozone has actually been around for many years. There are approximately 3000 published studies in the medical literature on ozone, its effectiveness, and its safety. Ozone has well-studied oxidative properties. In clinical settings, ozone-based therapies are used by some providers as adjunctive support, and evidence quality varies by indication.
The key benefits of Ozone therapy are:
- Natural detoxifier
- Natural antiviral, antibiotic, antifungal, and antiparasitic
- Natural immune system booster
- Modulates and reduces inflammation
- Resets the mitochondria
- Improves the condition of the blood
How does EBOO work?
Two IVs are started during EBOO therapy, one in each vein. Blood is obtained through a single IV catheter and processed through a dialyzer in a single continuous system. It is ozoned and oxygenated as it goes past the dialysis filter. Through the second IV, the blood is then reinfused into the body. During this procedure, about 2 liters of blood are treated. The blood is cycled like this for 50 minutes.
Our EBOO process uses a closed-system design intended to reduce exposure risk, following sterile technique and single-use components where applicable. Depending on your treatment protocol you may need more than 1 treatment, optimal results can be different for each patient. For most patients, we start with one treatment a week for three weeks and then go into maintenance.
The EBOO Process (Step-by-Step)
- Intake & screening – we review goals, history, and candidacy
- IV setup – two IVs are placed (one draw, one return)
- Closed-loop circulation – blood cycles through the system and is treated per protocol
- Post-session wrap-up – hydration guidance and next-step planning
What conditions can EBOO treatments help?
EBOO is used by some providers for supportive wellness goals related to inflammation, recovery, and circulation. We do not claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease, and we recommend coordinating care with your clinician. Joint discomfort, including that in the knees, lower back, hip, shoulder, elbows, and neck, as well as inflammatory illnesses including arthritis, bursitis, nephritis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, proctitis, and cystitis, can all benefit from ozone therapy in general, of which EBOO is the most sophisticated type. Pain control, which is a common symptom of many illnesses and can be the most incapacitating aspect of treatment, is one of EBOO’s biggest effects. It can also be beneficial for autoimmune diseases that are recognized for their unpleasant effects on the body, such as fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis.
In a 2005 study, EBOO treatments were administered to patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) as part of a clinical trial to see if their skin lesions improved. When compared to the other form of treatment given to the other group of patients, the patients who received EBOO treatment experienced a considerable regression of skin lesions (prostacyclin).1 Patients who underwent EBOO treatments reported less discomfort and improved general well-being in addition to the skin lesions regressing.
Patients with fungal/yeast infections, tetanus, chronic fatigue, cardiovascular diseases, eye diseases, skin problems, respiratory diseases, heavy metal poisoning, and other conditions may also benefit from ozone therapy.
Safety Snapshot (Read This First)
-
Safety depends on the route, dose, and protocol.
-
Ozone inhalation is not used therapeutically because it can cause respiratory problems.
-
Certain ozone approaches list G6PD deficiency (favism) as an absolute contraindication, and there are additional relative contraindications that may apply.
We review safety and candidacy during your consult.
What should you expect after treatments
Due to the significant amount of ozone and oxygen received during the EBOO therapy, individuals experience a significant boost in their energy and sense of well-being. Most of the time, there is an instant gain in energy, with noticeably better breathing and sharper thinking.
Our aim is to assist patients in leading better, more fulfilling lives. We can give our patients the resources they need to recover and maintain their health through the services we offer, including ozone therapy, IV nutrient therapy, and supplements.
